Heriot-Watt University is the first British university to set up a campus in Dubai in 2005. Heriot-Watt University Dubai (HWUD) offers British education of the highest standard, an international study environment, and an extensive range of degree programmes.

As a globally connected university with campuses in Scotland, Dubai and Malaysia, the learning outcomes and teaching standards remain the same wherever a Heriot-Watt student is located.

The KHDA Higher Education Classification (in partnership with QS) has awarded five-star rating three years in a row in 2019, 2020 and 2021.

The Dubai campus further enhances the student experience with a digitally enabled learning environment supporting the delivery of a diverse portfolio of programmes including:

Housing a dedicated student hub, a central Student Services Centre, enhanced library, and social learning spaces, a wide range of digitally enhanced classrooms, seminar rooms, studios, and laboratories the campus also houses a state-of-the-art robotarium as part of its mechanical engineering laboratory.

A merit-based scholarship of the first year net tuition fee offered by to students and staff from GEMS Schools Network.
Award will be equally divided among the total years of study.
